Laura Venner is on staff as our scientific consultant. She has worked with NASA/JPL as an ambassador for over 5 years and at the American Museum of Natural History as an earth and space explainer for over 8 years. She is a graduate of Columbia University and holds a degree in Environmental Biology, Ecology and Evolution.

Laura is currently an Astronomy/Environmental Educator at the Meadowlands Environment Center in New Jersey which includes the new William D. McDowell Observatory. Laura develops K-12 astronomy programs for the center in addition to helping area schools create their science curriculum and offering professional development for teachers. All of Laura's programs are modified for students with varying disabilities so that everyone she teaches can learn about the wonders of science.
